DEE Assam LP UP Teacher: Directorate of Elementary Education (DEE), Assam has released two employment notifications for the recruitment of 5550 posts of Assistant Teacher in Lower and Upper Primary Schools of Assam under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam. Online applications are hereby invited through the official website of DEE, Assam, i.e. https://dee.assam.gov.in from eligible Indian Citizens as defined in Article 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India and permanent residents of Assam, who are qualified in Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET)/ Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for UP Schools, for filling up of 3800 (Three Thousand and Eight Hundred) vacancies of Assistant Teacher of LP Schools & 1750 (One Thousand Seven Hundred and fifty) vacancies of Assistant Teacher, Science Teacher and Hindi Teacher of UP Schools under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam in the Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay and other allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019”.

Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary
School

➠ Higher Secondary/ Senior
Secondary (or its equivalent) with
at least 50% marks
And
2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
And
➠ Assam TET or Central TET for
Lower Primary

Assistant Teacher for Upper Primary School:

➠ Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary
(or its equivalent)

➠ Graduate from the UGC recognized University
And
➠ 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
OR
➠ Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of
Elementary Education Certificate
And
➠ Assam TET or Central TET for Upper Primary School

Science Teacher for Upper Primary School:

➠ Higher Secondaryl Senior Secondary (or its equivalent)

➠ B. Sc. from the UGC recognized University
And
➠ 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Or
➠ Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of
Elementary Education
And
➠ Assam TET or Central TET for Upper

Hindi Teacher for Upper Primary School

✓ (Non-Essential):

1. NCC Certificate - 5 marks for "C
Certificate and 3 marks for "B" Cetificate

2. 5 Marks for participation/ achievement in recognized sports at National Level or beyond representing State or Nation.
Or
3. 5 Marks for participation/ achievement in recognized Fine Arts and Cultural Activities representing State at National Level or Beyond representing State or Nation (Organised by recognized institutions)

ATET/ CTET Qualification: The candidates who have passed ATET/ CTET for LP/ UP will be eligible for applying.

Nationality: An Indian Citizen and Permanent Resident of Assam is eligible for this recruitment.

Age Limit: The candidate’s age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as of 1st January 2023.

Age Relaxation: The upper age relaxation will be as follows.

✓ OBC/MOBC: 3 Years
✓SC: 5 Years
✓ ST: 5 Years
✓ Ex-Servicemen: 2 Years
✓ PwD: 10 Years

Small Family Norms: No person having more than two living children on or after 1st January 2021 from a single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment as per the Government policy on Small Family Norms.

Medium of Instruction: Either Language-I or the Language-II of both ATET and CTET candidates shall match the medium of instruction of the school, wherein the candidate wishes to apply.

Candidates fulfilling all the required eligibility criteria for the recruitment of Lower Primary and Upper Primary Teachers will be able to submit their online applications on the official application portal developed by the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam.

Documents as mentioned below should be coloured scanned and upload while applying online.

1. Passport Size Photograph.
2. HSLC Admit Card.
3. HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
4. Degree Mark-sheet and Certificate. (For Upper Primary)
5. Any other Mark-sheet and Certificate of higher education.
6. DEIEd/ BEd Marksheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate
7. Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC).
8. Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
9. Certificate NCC (Only B or C Category only), Sports & Cultural (if represented state at National Level).
10. Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET.
11. Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt. authority.
12. Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.

Marking/Weightage for Lower Primary:

✓ 5% of marks secured in Higher
Secondary/ Senior Secondary or
equivalent Examinations.

✓ 5% of marks secured in Diploma in
Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) or
Bachelor of Elementary Education
(B.El.Ed) examination or Diploma
in Education (Special Education).

✓ 85% of marks secured in Teachers’
Eligibility Test (TET) for Lower
Primary Schools.

✓ 5 Marks (Maximum)
Even if the candidate possesses all
the three qualification/achievements

Maximum Total Marks: 100

Marking/Weightage for Upper Primary:

✓ 5% of marks secured in Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary or equivalent Examinations

✓ 5% of marks secured in Graduation examination. In case of candidate having Major in any subject, the marks secured in Major subject shall be taken into consideration.
