Assam Orunodoi Scheme 2.0
‘Orunodoi’ or Arunodoi Scheme 2.0 is a new scheme of Government of Assam to be launched on 2nd October 2020. ‘Orunodoi’ scheme will provide Financial Assistance of Rs. 830 per month through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme to around 17 Lakh Families in the state. The Orunodoi 2.0 Scheme will start from 10th April, 2023. Women being primary caretaker of family are kept as beneficiaries of the scheme.
However, through Orunodoi 2.0 Scheme the Assam Govt has decided to provide the benefits to the Widow, Divorced Female, Unmarried Female, Separate Female, Divyangjan, Transgender, Destitute, Living on Alms and Household having any member who is dwarf or ailing from Cerebral Palsy or Thalassemia or Hemophilia or Leprosy or Autism Spectrum Disordered citizens of Assam.
The Orunodoi 2.0 Scheme Beneficiary will get Rs. 1,250/- every month in their Bank Account Directly through DBT. The Orunodoi 2.0 Scheme was launched by the Assam Govt forCitizen of Assam on 14th December 2022. In Orunodoi 2.0 the State Govt will add another around 10.54 Lakhs of new beneficiaries. After addition of fresh beneficiaries the total number of beneficiaries will hit the mark of 27 lakhs.

Assam Orunodoi Scheme 2.0 Eligibility Criteria
The Eligibility Criteria to be a beneficiary of Assam govt Orunodoi Asoni is mentioned below. In this scheme the Government of Assam has given the priority for the below mentioned category
Ex PRI Member having annual income less than 2 lakhs.
To be a beneficiary of Orunodoi Asoni you need to be and Women.
Family living in Kutcha House in villages.
The priority has been given for the Widow Women, Separate Female, Physically Handicap Person, Unmarried Girls(age more than 35 years) etc. at the time of selection of beneficiary for Assam Orunodoi Asoni.
The family having maximum 15 Bigha of land in village is also eligible for the Scheme.
Having maximum 3 Katha Land in small towns and 1.5 katha Land in Kamrup Metro are also eligible for the scheme.
Note: Deen Dayal Divyangjan Pension Scheme and Indira Miri Universal Widow Pension Scheme beneficiaries will be automaticiall included under Orunodoi 2.0.

The family having a AC is also ineligible for the Scheme.
The family having a Four wheeler Car is ineligible for the Scheme.
Govt/PSU/Cooperative Employees or pensioners are ineligible for the Scheme.
Tractor Owners are also ineligible for the scheme.
Benefits of Assam Orunodoi Scheme 2.0
Orunodoi Asoni 2.0 will benefit around 27.77 lakhs of Eligible women in the State. And each Beneficiary will get 1000 Rupees per month on the very first date of Every Month. Orunodoi Scheme 2.0 will provide financial assistance of Rs. 1000 per month through Direct Benefit Transfer to 27.77 lakh Beneficiaries by the end of April 2023.
The Assam Orunodoi 2.0 Scheme covers the Expenses for Medicines for taking care of Health needs which is 400 rupees per family, Rs. 200 per family given to provide a 50% subsidy for the 4 Kgs of Pulses of a Family, 80 rupees are given as the 50% Subsidy for 4 Kgs Sugar, 150 rupees are given for the Fruits & Vegetables and Rs. 170 are given for the Essential needs. And this amount is Consolidated to Rs. 1000 per month for a family.
Selection Process of Orunodoi Scheme 2023
The District Level Monitoring Committee may devise modalities for preparing the list of eligible beneficiaries strictly as per the Guidelines. The preliminary selection of the beneficiaries will be done at the level of Gaon Panchayat(GP) Village Council Development Committee (VCDC)Urban Local Body (ULB) based on eligibility/ineligibility conditions .
An undertaking cum checklist of the eligibility/ineligibility conditions has been prepared for use at GP / VCDC / ULB level which is attached at Annexure ‘A’. Only one such undertaking cum checklist should be prepared against each proposed beneficiary household.
gp/vcdc/ulb full form: The preliminary selection of the beneficiaries will be done at the level of Gaon Panchayat(GP) Village Council Development Committee (VCDC)Urban Local Body (ULB) based on eligibility/ineligibility conditions.
Compilation at LAC level: The undertaking cum checklist, forwarded by the Gaon Panchayat / VCDC / ULB, will be compiled LAC wise by Member Secretary, DLMC to be put up fo the District Level Monitoring Committee for prioritization/selection.
Prioritization of list of applicants by District Level Monitoring Committee: The District level Monitoring Committee will meet to prioritize and finalize the received list of applicants submitted by the GPNCDC/ ULBs, based on the priority criteria mentioned above.
Selection List Under Orunodoi Scheme 2.0
The selection list for the Orunodoi Scheme 2020 will be released by Government of Assam from 17th August 2020. And the applicants who got selected under the Orunodoi Scheme 2020 will receive funds through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode to the bank account of nominated woman of the family.

iv) The duly filled Application Form by the applicant shall be submitted to his/her nearest Urban Local Body Office or in a Gram Panchayat Office.
v) After submission of the Application Form, an acknowledgement slip will be given to the applicant by the Urban Local Body or Gram Panchayat Office.
